Playtech Confident of Meeting 2007 Expectations

Online poker software provider Playtech is confident of meeting market expectations for its 2007 results. The group said it continues to enjoy buoyant trading and has experienced significant growth in revenues towards the end of 2007 when monthly revenues reached a record level.

"With trading in the fourth quarter of 2007 exceeding expectations, the board is highly confident of the company's trading performance for 2008," said the group.

Playtech also announced that Avigur Zmora, currently executive vice chairman, is to become a non-executive director. The group said Zmora will adopt a senior consultancy role and will continue to work closely with management with a particular focus on strategic matters.
