PKR.com cuddles up with Lovestruck
Internet poker room PKR.com and dating site Lovestruck.com announced Thursday that they are teaming up to provide a series of online poker nights made specifically for poker-loving singles.
The series will kick off with a launch party at London's Huxton Pony club on Thursday, Nov. 6. Entry to the party will be free for anyone registered with either PKR.com or Lovestruck.com beforehand. According to PKR.com, the event is aimed at giving members a chance to "meet, mingle and learn to play" and will feature professional dealers who will both deal and teach the games to new players.
"We're always looking at innovative ways to bring our time-strapped members together," Lovestruck managing director Brett Harding said. "By forming an alliance with PKR.com, we'll be providing a quality experience that we know our discerning single professionals will appreciate."
The event will be followed by four online "Lovestuck Nights" held at PKR.com. The first will take place Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. and will be a free tournament open to anyone who registers with both sites. The promotional will then continue with three weekly, low buy-in events.
